Dex builds are nice because instead of having to balance all 3 physical attributes to be combat effective, you can ignore Strength. So while you can take armor training and maybe cast effortless armor, it never answers why? Those are dead feats when you can just wear bracers and a robe to have better AC.Ģnd: Encumbrance. Once you can push dexterity bonuses to +8 even, armor in any form is a hindrance. But honestly, you're going to hit a place where doing this is counterproductive, and you should've just used light armor (or bracers of armor). The 1st problem is Heavy Armor reduces Dex bonuses. The other is going to be a problem for most of the game. There are 2 problems with a Dex/ Heavy Armor build. So be aware that if you want to use this weapon, you're going to have to do so with a class that can arcane/divine enhance for a significant stretch of the game. And I've heard of people being stuck w/ lvl10.
In fact, the wiki lists no named exemplars, as it does for almost all other weapons. I've never seen how it was earned and it's not listed on the wiki. But all I know is it exists by screenshot. There is an amazing +5 bane of all living.

And regardless of a trance, spells still come back at the same rate. Essentially a longer version of a scimitar, but with a thinner blade, the elven curve blade is exceptionally rare. In my games, Elves have a choice of sleeping via Trance with the caveat there will be a light Fortitude check to avoid becoming sickened after three straight days of doing so. But there's nothing stopping you from letting your elves trance instead of sleep, if that's how you want to roll.
